Forbes & Flay 2020 - 2023: The original idea of the gallery and studio was to create a place for me to make art, teach and sell and display my work and display Chauncey Flays sculpture.  What the space ended up being was all things botanical featuring my own botanical work and deisgn label 'PlantGirl & Co'. (@plantgielandco) I also have learnt how not to kill house plants, teaching myself to propagate and grow all sorts of plants with my favourite being begonias and hoya.
For a small town, situated on the legendary Surf Highway 45, there is a surprisingly active and flourishing arts community with many artist run spaces, small galleries and open studios.  For more information on all the artist spaces in Opunake click here.
The space is conveniently located right next door to the infamous Sugar Juice Café at 40 Tasman St.
