2026 WORKSHOPS / ADELAIDE, SOUTH AUSTRALIA

Images:T.Forbes original journal works and workshop ACSA 2025, Adelaide. (c)
OCTOBER  - NOVEMBER 2026
ADELAIDE CENTRAL SCHOOL OF ART

Nature Journaling Extension Class 2-days (Saturdays) Term 4
When: Saturday 31 & Saturday 7 November, 10.00 - 3.00
Cost: $295 (Materials needed to use in class provided)
Bookings/ ACSA
About the workshop:
This extension class is suitable for new (more experienced) and returning students from any of Tabatha’s past workshops, or those just curious about how to draw more complex botanical forms including fruit, berries and seeds collected from South Australia. While some seeds and berries will be rendered beautifully in light watercolour, seed pods translate brilliantly as ink and pencil drawings. This workshop is a great opportunity for return students to bring a particular botanical specimen to class they want to work on (something from your garden perhaps).
Over the duration of the workshop we will explore techniques to develop the nature journal and how to find the style and techniques that work best for you through every season and subject. Class demonstrations and gentle one-on-one guidance with different drawing and watercolour techniques, will introduce students to what Tabatha hopes will inspire a life-long practice.

Returning and beginner students are welcome!
“Drawing from nature is the perfect antidote to our noisy and stressful lives. A chance to dip into another world, closer at hand and less cluttered and complicated. Your worries, momentarily at least, melt away on the page.”
– Dr Tabatha Forbes
